Tiger Stripes Nail Design
I think this design is so cute & it looks good with practically every color. This design was originally inspired by macNC40 on youtube, but I thought her design (the one I used on the first picture below) looked a little too plain on my short nails so I started embellishing ;x. I'm super pleased with the result though, I think I took the tiger stripes design to a whole new level! ;>
^ My very first tiger stripe design (and my worst). My nails are still short & ugly (I used to bite my nails), so it was hard to paint without getting on my skin. I like the color combo though.
What I used:
China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise (Neon)
Orly - Liquid Vinyl
A nail art brush
OPI top coat
^ Here I started embellishing & adding more stripes. My nails grew longer and I was more experienced, so I was able to create pretty crisp stripes.
^ Another shot of these nails. Very pleased with how they turned out.
What I used:
China Glaze - Coral Star
Stripe Rite in black
OPI top coat
^ Tiger stripes on gold for my Halloween cat costume. This one was painted the best out of the three in my opinion, but the picture doesn't do it justice because I forgot to take a picture so these nails are a week & a half old & starting to chip.
What I used:
Milani - Good Morning Sunshine
Stripe Rite in black
OPI top coat
Like I said, the tiger stripes look good on pretty much every color, although personally I think the bolder the background color, the more the black stripes stand out, and the better the design looks as a whole. The design is a lot easier than it looks. All you need is patience & practice. Good luck! ROARRR~
Love,
Kat
